Our Events
At Act 1 Productions, we pride ourselves on being so much more than just a community theatre company, we're a family. Our productions are just one aspect of what we do. Whilst we work hard to produce quality theatre experiences for our members, more importantly we have fun.

Whether we're organising fun social events for members, finding different ways to raise money or simply getting our name our into the community, there's always something going on outside of the rehearsal room.

Fundraising
As a non-profit organisation, we work hard to raise funds to support our projects.
With no external funding, many of our productions rely on in-house fundraising events such as bingo, quiz and race nights, sponsored events and workshops.
Publicity
We're always looking to get our name out there; whether we're looking for new talent, advertising upcoming auditions or promoting a production. You will often find us attending community events, to try and boost ticket sales!
Social
One thing we pride ourselves on is that we view everyone as 'one big family'. Not only do we have fun during rehearsals, but we also enjoy getting together wherever possible; whether at meals, after-show parties, sleepovers or the cinema - we love to have fun!
Annual Awards
Each year committed members are recognised at our Awards Ceremony. This evening sees our committee awarding a variety of awards, celebrating talent, progress and dedication.

A selection of awards are also voted by our members, for our members, giving them the chance to celebrate their peers and others successes.
Disneyland Paris
Performing Arts Onstage
We're fortunate enough to take members to Disneyland Paris to perform on a professional, Disney stage. This is a fantastic, unique opportunity for our members who get to experience performing in a different environment, and to large audiences.
